#NoPlaceLeft Laos Prayer > for Mr. Tan, for the Christian leaders, for the government leaders and the persecutors, for the families and the future >
Revelation 2:10-11 > Don’t be afraid of what you are about to suffer. Look, the Devil is about to throw some of you into prison to test you, and you will have affliction for 10 days. Be faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life. Anyone who has an ear should listen to what the Spirit says to the churches. The victor will never be harmed by the second death.
Father, we worship and praise you. We lift your name high for all nations to see you and we sing your praises day and night until the end and then forever. Thank you for your love. Thank you for creating faith in us to help us through persecution. Thank you for perseverance, and that perseverance comes through the Holy Spirit’s leadership in us.
We can’t survive persecution upon our strength: boldness comes from your throne room, a spiritual gift given by our Master through the Spirit and received by the saints. The dragon is always prowling around breathing death threats and trying to snuff out the revival fire of your Holy Spirit, but your perfect love drives out our fear. We overcome by the blood of the Lamb and testimony of all martyrs before us.
You are testing the Laotian church; you are refining her leaders through threats and prison and pain and persecution. You love her enough to invite her to share in the sufferings of your Messiah Son Jesus. At the end of persecution and death is a crown of life for the faithful, and you give us faith and help us stay faithful through trials and valleys and darkness and suffering.
Strengthen your sons and daughters in Laos, and encourage their hearts today. There is no condemnation for those who became afraid; they are only human, and we all fail and fall some times. Thank you for forgiving us 70 times 7 times.
Though the world is hostile to you, and though angry men will always try to destroy Christ’s church, they can never win, and they can never be victorious, because Revelation says one day the Church will complete the Great Commission, and every tribe, tongue, nation, and people will have reproducing disciples, and your kingdom will penetrate every corner of this planet, and you will return.
Bless and support, feed and water, give hope and rest and refreshment to our Lao brothers and sisters and help them see you clearly as Immanuel, Yahweh with them. We pray for their persecutors that they will have dreams and visions of our King, and that they will wake up during the watches of the night crying out in Laotian languages, “Jesus is Lord!”
We claim this nation for Jesus’ kingdom, and we declare a great faith and boldness is baptizing the Church there today in new wineskins of courage and endurance by the power and fire of the Holy Spirit. Be strong and courageous, don’t lose heart, and enter into His rest to find peace and hope again in Jesus’ name, amen.
