Tool Purpose >

This training equips disciples to share the gospel simply and clearly and invite others to follow Jesus.

This gospel story tool is called the 3 Circles and was developed by Pastor Jimmy Scroggins.

Romans 10: 14 > How can they call on Him they have not believed in? And how can they believe without hearing about Him? And how can they hear without a witness?

The Jesus’ Story training will help you equip all of your disciples to share a simple gospel presentation with their family, friends, neighbors, and strangers they meet on life’s journey.

2 Corinthians 5:20 > Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, certain that God is appealing through us. We plead on Christ’s behalf, “Be reconciled to God.”

Part of our identity as new creations and sons and daughters of God is our role as kingdom ambassadors. The Jesus’ Story training will equip your church with all they need to be faithful ambassadors to all nations.

Focus Passage > Acts 1:1-11

Father’s Heart (heart) >> Our Father’s heart is for everyone to be saved, to know the truth, and to be with Him forever in Heaven (1 Timothy 2:4).

Running Away (running person) >> Every person has run away from God and fallen short of His glory. We cannot enter His holy presence with our sin (Romans 3:23).

Brokenness (wavy lines) >> When we live for ourselves, we become broken through lust, pride, anger, ambition, division, ranking, envy, addiction, and pursuing pleasures that do not satisfy (Galatians 5:19-21).

Believe & Come Home (kneeling and praying) >> We believe in the Messiah, repent of our sins, and turn back to God. He will wipe away our sins and refresh us with His presence (Acts 3:18-29).

King Jesus’ Sacrifice (arrows and crown) >> Jesus left Heaven and came to earth as a man, lived a perfect life, suffered and died on the cross, rose from the dead, ascended back to Heaven, and will return as King to judge the world (Philippians 2:7-11).

Restoration (praising person) >> When we call on Jesus, we will be saved. And He gives us the gift of the Holy Spirit upon us for boldness to be His witnesses in our community and nation, to the outcasts, and to the ends of the earth (Acts 1:8).

Follow Jesus (cycle arrows) >> We count the cost of following Jesus. We will suffer for His name and be persecuted. After we are saved, we still sin and struggle. As we follow Him, we must learn to keep in step with His Spirit (Galatians 5:25).
