“Wherever I Go, You Are There”
Focus Message >
We should not sing of Yahweh as “Emmanuel” only around Christmas. He is always with us. He is everywhere through the Spirit of Jesus. Wherever we go, the Lord of heaven and earth is there waiting. He is with us, and His Spirit is in us. We are never alone; we are never forsaken.
In Psalm 139, King David expressed these promises so clearly, “Where can I go from Your Spirit? Where can I flee from Your presence? If I go up to the heavens, You are there; if I make my bed in the depths, You are there. If I rise on the wings of the dawn, if I settle on the far side of the sea, even there Your hand will guide me, Your right hand will hold me fast.”
Let us live daily in the reality that our Father is always with us and that the anchor of our hope is for that day when we will see His face.

Psalm 139:7-10 > Where can I go from Your Spirit? Where can I flee from Your presence? If I go up to the heavens, You are there; if I make my bed in the depths, You are there. If I rise on the wings of the dawn, if I settle on the far side of the sea, even there Your hand will guide me, Your right hand will hold me fast.
Isaiah 43:2 > When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze.
Isaiah 43:5-7 > Do not be afraid, for I am with you; I will bring your children from the east and gather you from the west. I will say to the north, “Give them up!” and to the south, “Do not hold them back.” Bring My sons from afar and My daughters from the ends of the earth. Everyone who is called by My Name, whom I created for My glory, whom I formed and made.
Daniel 3:24-25 > Then King Nebuchadnezzar leaped to his feet in amazement and asked his advisers, “Weren’t there three men that we tied up and threw in the fire?” They replied, “Certainly, Your Majesty.” The king said, “Look! I see four men walking around in the fire, unbound and unharmed, and the fourth looks like a son of the gods.”
Psalm 23:1-4 > The LORD is my Shepherd, I lack nothing. He makes me lie down in green pastures, He leads me beside quiet waters, He refreshes my soul. He guides me along the right paths for His name’s sake. Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for You are with me; Your rod and staff, they comfort me.
John 14:15-20 > Jesus said, “If you love Me, keep My commands. And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Advocate to help you and be with you forever – the Spirit of Truth. The world cannot accept Him, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him. But you know Him, for He lives with you and will be in you. I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you. Before long, the world will not see Me anymore, but you will see Me. Because I live, you also will live. On that day, you will realize that I am in My Father, and you are in Me, and I am in you.”
+ Prophetic Prayer Blessing +
Oh Father, what can we say when we witness the power and beauty of Your Word? Your Word is Your very breath that You breathe out over us. You are Healer. You are Life. You are all we need. Forgive us for the times that we lose our way and become blind with fear and confusion.
The enemy works through the world to distract us from what You’ve promised to be and to do for Your people, Lord. Your Son said in John 16:33, “In Me, you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” How we need this reminder every day. There’s never a dawn or awakening where we don’t need You to intervene. We depend completely upon You, Father, for every breath and every provision.
Should we look to kings or kingdoms for hope? Should we create other gods in our image to worship and satisfy us? Surely our generation has more than enough stories from the history of time to see clearly that You alone are all we need. Thank you for Your presence. Thank you for inviting us moment by moment into Your heart. Help us to abide in Your Son that we mighty bear much fruit for the glory of Your Name, and help us to enter into Your rest that You give Your people freely.
Let Your grace and mercy be a river that baptizes our generation in Your glory.
Let each of Your sons and daughters model confidence in You to their families, friends, and neighbors. Let a movement arise of disciples who surrender everything, lay down their crowns at Your feet, and run to the nations with the only hope that lasts forever: salvation in Jesus Christ.
We love you, Lord, and we re-align our hearts as a people to follow You every day until we breathe our last or we hear Your trumpet sound.
In Jesus’ name, amen.
